MORWIN SCHMOOKLER, Founder & CEO
Morwin Schmookler, Ironstone’s Principal, has acted as a Managing Partner on behalf of several partnerships in the acquisition, redevelopment and management of multi-family, mixed-use and retail properties in New York City. For over 15 years he has owned, operated, and repositioned properties in Midtown Manhattan, Chinatown, East Harlem, Washington Heights, Long Island City, Greenpoint, and Bushwick in New York City. In the past several years he has partnered with American Commercial Realty in the acquisition and repositioning retail shopping centers in Jacksonville, FL, Georgia and the Cincinnati Metropolitan area. Mr. Schmookler is a licensed real estate broker in New York and a member of ICSC, ULI and REBNY. He has been a resident of New York City his entire life and is involved in various philanthropic projects, including the New York Public Library, Hampshire College and the Public Theater.
JANE UPTON, CFO
Jane Upton brings over 35 years of real estate experience to Ironstone Partners. Ms. Upton began her career as an accounts manager and over time developed an extensive knowledge of the various aspects of real estate management. Together with Mr. Schmookler she has been involved in the acquisition, management, and disposition of various multi-family, mixed-use, and retail properties in New York City and across the United States, including a hotel in Manhattan’s Chelsea.
